spacious living area has been separated into different functional areas with slidable screen. when the billiard table was not in use, the screen can be parked at the staircase area, so that the space won't be sacrificed to dedicated for one purpose, instead, flexible and versatile


language of vertical lines was repeated in different areas. It led vision vertically, as a result of which volume & height were accentuated



Interaction
study area was separated from the existing balcony with walls and independent access. this patio deck used to be seldom accessed area. We realise the potential interaction function of this area and decided to open up this space, replacing the walls with bifold doors and building shelter to create the semi outdoor area as an extension of the existing study, thus created this outdoor lounges area

Space Planning
the architectural space has been transformed into multifunctional independent yet interrelated areas, with minimum touching and changing the existing structures. each area has been fully utilised in terms of volume and function. instead of building of demolishing walls, we use slidable or foldable elements, which easily define the function while keep the versatility
